From Source to Tap: The South East Strategy for Water
Water Resources in the South East (a partnership consisting of 6 South East water companies, the Environment Agency, Ofwat, Consumer Council for Water, Natural England and Defra) recently published From Source to Tap, its strategy for the south east. Much of the region is is officially designated as being under serious water stress and is also one where there are potentially greater pressures and challenges than those faced by other regions in the UK ( such as expanding towns and cities, relatively low rainfall but higher water use by people).
The strategy highlights challenges faced by the region over the next 60 years and identifies a number of long-term solutions, that it hopes will deliver the best value for customers, society and the environment. You can read the strategy here.
