Oak Processionary Moth – Volunteers required

As part of a wider Kent Countryside Management Partnerships project funded by the Forestry Commission, we’re looking for volunteers to carry out surveys in their local patch across the county for the Oak processionary moth. Accidentally imported into the UK, it was first recorded in London in 2006. The moth which strips oak trees of their leaves, can also impact upon human health causing breathing difficulties and rashes. As part of the project, our colleagues at the Medway Valley Countryside Partnership, will be holding a free virtual workshop on Tuesday 20th of April, from 10am – 11.30am.
