If you care about the estuary and would like to do something practical to help look after it, then why not consider becoming one of our Coastal Guardians?

Orignally established as part of the Guardians of the Deep HLF Project, Coastal Guardians can help in a variety of ways, from taking part in beach cleans, to reporting injured or stranded mammals, pollution incidents or illegal activities, enabling the relevant authorities to take action.

New Guardians are given full training, learning how to recognise illegal or potentially damaging activities and how to report the key information to the relevant people. Other training builds skills in identifying coastal birds and other animals and plants.

All we ask is that you spend a minimum of two hours a month, helping in any of these ways and being the eyes and ears needed to help us protect the estuary.
