Riverside Soundings Project

In May we will be launching our Riverside Soundings project, to tie in with this year’s wider Estuary Festival. Supported by Countryside Properties ‘Rochester Riverside Community Fund’ . The project’s aim is to create an audio portrait of the River Medway and the surrounding environment within the community fund’s project area between Sun Pier and the M2 motorway bridge. The project is divided into three elements:

1. A series of free environmental sound recording workshops, with local sound artist Jane Pitt. Details of which can be found here.
2. The creation of a sound map, to which the public can add their own recordings.
3. The creation of sound walk, which will be available free to the public to download and follow or simply enjoy from the comfort of their own home.
