Medway Estuary and Swale Coastal Flood and Erosion Risk Strategy
The Environment Agency is undertaking consultation on the proposed future management of the coastal flood and erosion risk in the Medway and Swale Estuary.
Members of the local communities and key stakeholders are invited to public exhibitions to review the proposed options to manage the coastal flood and erosion risk at:
EastchurchVillage Hall, Isle of Sheppey, 30 November, 3-7pm.
Riverside Country Park, Gillingham, 6 December, 3-7pm.
Halling Community Centre, 12 December, 3:30-7:30pm.
The events are open to everyone with an interest in coastal issues in the Medway and Swale Estuary. The purpose is to provide information regarding the constraints and key issues along the frontage and the proposed management options for the next 100 years. Public consultation and feedback is essential before the Strategy is finalised.
